BG Photography needed a brand identity that would visually represent Becky’s personable, authentic, and maternal approach to photography. The goal was to create a logo that felt bold yet approachable, modern but not sterile, and reflective of Becky’s unique ability to capture meaningful, timeless moments. Research focused on typography, monogram design, and how visual texture could communicate warmth and dimension. Inspiration was drawn from classic monogram design principles, balancing boldness with subtle details to achieve an approachable, memorable look.
Initial sketches explored various styles of monogram design, with a focus on bold letterforms that could stand out on both digital and print platforms. Several iterations were developed, and Becky selected a design that featured an inset stroke to create dimension and add visual texture. Refinements focused on ensuring clarity and scalability across touchpoints like social media, watermarks, and print materials. The final deliverables included a full logo suite with primary and secondary lockups, color variations, and brand guidelines to ensure consistent usage across all platforms.
